Winter Storm and Etc…

I live in the area where we were hit by the snow storm in Western , NY. We were not hit as hard as a couple of towns that got 64 inches in 24 hours but it still was a lot of snow for a 24 hour period. We are to get pounded with more snow tomorrow. But I have to say it is beautiful and I have a great big window in the warm to enjoy the view!

About a week before the storm I took this picture because I thought the moon threw the trees looked awesome

.Last but not least I was at a friends house today and I was looking out his balcony doors and saw this little chubby Robin and had to take it’s picture. This little lovely has been eating well. My friend said his neighbor has a bird feeder at the bottom branches of this tree.

Blooms

I am almost finished painting and am I glad because my knees and hips are all wore out. The last couple days I kept thinking how did I do this for a living and on big houses. I believe this will be the last time I will be painting any large structure or at least one that you need a ladder for. I just have some touch up to do then on to the porches. I am trying to get this all done before the snow fly’s again. My garden has been a little neglected but I am confident I can tidy it all up after a little rest. My neighbor Korie’s  puppy Mak got free and he always runs to my house. This time I wasn’t home and he managed to explore all threw my tomato garden. They are a little tipped over but no real damage done. This little 5 month old puppy is 45 lbs! During one of my breaks while painting I went threw and checked to see if any picking was in order and sure enough I had cucumbers ready ! I picked 17 of them. The picture doesn’t show 17 because I ate a couple. I also picked 2 onions but I ate one of them, Also 3 tomatoes but I ate them. I made a cucumber, tomato, onion  salad.

My Stargazer Lillys made their appearance

My Rose of Sharon has just started to bloom. The added bonus is my neighbor brought me over a bunch of slips to root of all colors. I can’t wait to get them planted and on their way.

Last year I was not able to get pictures of all the color changes of my Quick Fire Hydrangea. This year I made sure I did. (on a painting break lol)

Midnight Found her Career Posing with Sticks!

As I stated in my Blog Exploring our Little part of our World that I left out pictures that had sticks in them because that was a whole other Blog. Well this is that Blog.

Back in Jan of 2012 I wrote a Blog titled Sticks because I seen a fellow Blogger Emily Our Waldo Bungie write about her foster dog  Ginger Rogers Protector from  Sticks.  Sense then I have noticed Midnight prefers a stick over any toy there is.  Midnight is still protector from sticks.

When Midnight first came to live with me she was put on a 40 ft lead as I didn’t know her well enough yet to let her go un leashed.  She did start her no lead training but even on the lead she managed to find sticks.

So when Midnight lost her stick she tried taken Kori's. I had to go find another stick for her so she would leave Kori's alone abd she would not take a short one it had to be a long one!

So while BabyGirl has had a career in Posing with Yogurt Cups and Midnight did try posing with Yogart Cups and they were to small for her to pose with so she tried this :

But it didn’t really work out so I guess she found her new career in Posing with sticks  !

Exploring our Little part of the World

We   went on the hike down the creek that ended with waterfalls. I gave the ending away on my Wordless Wednesday. I just had to post the pick of BabyGirl and Midnight looking at them when we first arrived there at the falls.

The hike there was just awesome and we all had a great time. It was about 1  1/2 miles up the creek to the falls. We rested on a ledge by the falls and had our lunch and while everyone else was in the heat we had Mother Natures air conditioning. We started out about 11 am and ended at 4:30 pm for the entire hike and spending time at the falls.  I discovered Midnight could swim as some parts of the creek were deep enough for swimming and of coarse catching little fish and chasing floating sticks.  (next blog will be about the sticks. I didn’t post some pictures involving sticks because that is a whole other blog to write )

Interruption of Spring

I woke up this morning and opened the door to let the dogs out and this is what I saw. A interruption of Spring.

The Birds were out in all this. I wondered how they liked all the ice on the branches.
