Not A City Girl Any More !

My small space in a big world

I hope this will turn into something at least interesting . Mostly about my likes in life as they are right now. I have lived most of my life in cities and now I live on a hilltop in the country and loving it.

My dog BabyGirl is my best friend. When I started this Blog  My dog Felix was also my best friend. He died May 24, 2011. He died at age 15 and was a very happy dog . I am a advocate for animal rights and humane treatment.

I love to garden and to sit outside and read a good book. I like sifi movies and shows. These are major things to me because there was a time I went through where I couldn’t even do these things. I am on my way back to health now and enjoy these things.

  1. Thanks for visiting my blog today,i like your blog and think i will hang around to see what you get up to! living in the country is indeed a great thing,i could not live in the city again…plus my animals would hate it hehehe 🙂

    • My one dog BabyGirl is originally from the South ,State of Virginia. She was transported to a shelter up here in NY State called Lolly Pop Farm Humane Society. I adopted her at 3 months old. She is now 8 years old.
Midnight I saw on a to be destroyed list NY City on the internet. I had a rescue pull her in the middle of the night as she was to be killed that morning. Midnight was about 2 when she came to live with me. For both these dogs our adventures are special because they both could have been killed by humans for no less than space or kennel cough.

      • Yes humans…i feel ashamed to be one most times! Having been a vol at a no kill shelter i understand the way some shelters are one of the growing number of people fed up with the treatment of animals..thankgoodness you saved your babies 🙂 they most certainly have found you at the right time 🙂 🙂
